Zero Time Dilemma was released on June 28th, 2016. Zero Escape has taken us on a very wild ride. The series is known for intense visual novel elements and challenging puzzles. The trailer alone lets us know we’re in for a wild ride!
The series started in December 2009 with 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (or 999 for short), which was supposed to be a stand-alone title. Due to 999’s success three years later in February 2012 we were taken further down the rabbit hole with Virtue’s Last Reward. The end of this amazing trilogy is coming this month!
999 took us on a mind-bending tale with multiple endings that you needed to find through trial and error and puzzles that would challenge you. Virtue’s Last Reward continued the story with even more endings and many mysteries left unanswered.
According to Kotaro Uchikoshi—the creator of this amazing series—Zero Time Dilemma will link all three games with each other and answer the questions left behind in Virtue’s Last Reward. The setting has been revealed on Zero Time Dilemma’s Official Website.
“The mysterious “Zero” traps 9 participants within an underground shelter, dividing them equally between 3 wards that are connected to an elevator shaft in the middle. The only way out – passing through a locked X-Door to access the elevator.” –Zero Time Dilemma
Fans of the series can look forward to many plot twists in this game. For example: the only way to escape is to gather six passwords and the only way for that to happen is six people have to die. This is the foundation for your choices in Zero Time Dilemma. Who will live or who will die? Would you sacrifice yourself to free your companions or will you be the one to escape? Is anyone who you really think they are? Let us know what you think about this in the comments!
