Okay, okay. Calm down. Take a breath. It’s going to be okay. So you know how you always believe that this one character in your favorite series will survive until the very end? Well, that’s almost never true. Andrew Lincoln, one of The Walking Dead‘s main actors, is about to reach the finish line.
Andrew Lincoln has been on the show from the very beginning. His character, Rick Grimes, the leader of the group of survivors, has lived more than anyone could have hoped for in this series. Since, you know, everyone pretty much dies and no one is safe.
Apparently, Lincoln will remain in the series for the ninth season, where he will appear in at least six episodes. No one knows yet how he will exit the series (and honestly I really, really don’t want to know), but it will most probably be before the season finale.
Fans weren’t very thrilled to hear that Lincoln is going to step off, which makes sense since Rick has been part of The Walking Dead family for so long.
The most heartbreaking news of 2018 is that Andrew Lincoln is leaving TWD. pic.twitter.com/NDoFSAEMfk

However, one thing is for sure, and that’s that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) will be stepping up and taking the lead soon enough. The actor is supposed to get around $20 million to remain in the series and become the series lead.
To be quite honest, Daryl is not one of my favorite characters. I mean, he’s okay, but with Carl gone and Rick about to die/become a zombie, maybe it’s time for the series to come to an end. Who knows?
What do you think should happen? What do you think about Andrew Lincoln leaving The Walking Dead and Norman Reedus taking the lead? Let us know in the comments!
