M. Night Shyamalan Reveals Poster for ‘Glass’, Bringing Cast to SDCC!

M. Night Shyamalan and Samuel L. Jackson as Mr. Glass

On the morning of Friday, June 29, M. Night Shyamalan took to Twitter to announce that he and his next film Glass will be at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H on July 20. Glass brings together two narratives — 2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal— together for one explosive (hopefully), all-new comic-book thriller: Glass. Shyamalan promises a surprise – a trailer or sneak peek at footage perhaps – for Con attendees.

It may be worth the line to check out a potential panel with Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Spencer Treat Clark, Charlayne Woodard, and Sarah Paulson.

Then just to keep the teases coming, Shyamalan shared the first poster from Blumhouse Production.

Who’s Who in ‘Glass’?

Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn and Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass from Unbreakable. The duo joins James McAvoy, as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast from Split.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Joining the Star-Studded Cast

Unbreakable’s Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard will reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother, respectively. Golden Globe Award winner Sarah Paulson joins as well.

This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters is produced by Shyamalan and Blumhouse Production’s Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who executive produces.

A Blinding Edge Pictures and Blumhouse production, Glass will be released – by Universal Pictures – in North America on January 18, 2019.
