Spoilers are apparently something we cannot get away from. Avengers: Infinity War left us with only half the people of the universe alive. Most of the fallen include Loki, Heimdall, Gamora, Vision, Black Panther, Sam, Bucky, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord, Groot, Drax, Mantis, Spiderman, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill.
While the writers of the movie have said repeatedly that the deaths are permanent, Chris Pratt “saves” the day! And ruins the aftermath of Infinity War a little bit…
Beware, More Avengers Spoilers Ahead
While wishing happy birthday to Pom Klementieff in an Instagram post, Pratt confirmed that they start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 next year! We’ve known, however, for a while that there would be a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, as James Gunn (writer-director) has confirmed that he’ll write and direct the third movie.
However, by then, the fourth Avengers movie (movie title still pending) will have reached our screens, which means that the Guardians will most likely be resurrected.
Let’s also keep in mind that Spider-Man has another movie scheduled for 2019. So, we can safely assume that Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will return!
Some fan theories have already started spreading about who will actually get resurrected and who will remain dead. Most believe that the characters that died before Thanos’ finger snap will remain dead. Others believe that the Time Stone will be used, and everyone will be resurrected.
Oh, and Peter Quill has a lot to make up for since, well, you know he screwed up a perfectly good/working plan against Thanos. Which helped turn everyone into dust clouds. And uh… die. So here’s hoping that he’ll redeem himself in the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Or Avengers 4. Who knows when he’ll be back?
What do you think will happen in the next Avengers? Let us know in the comments!
