Hey you there, I’m sure you already know that Ant-Man and The Wasp comes out July 6th, 2018. And you might already have an idea that all these super hero movies will tie together in some way shape or form. Marvel Studios released two featurettes, that focus more on The Wasp character and the actress who plays her Evangeline Lily. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige talks about the movie in the featurettes and reveals information that, well the movie ties into Avengers 4.
Now there was no exact information about how this ties into Avengers 4, but we can make speculations. The featurette mentions about the Quantum Realm, and if you’ve seen the first Ant-Man movie you know they already talked about it. Well this time they are going into it. Could the Quantum Realm be harnessed and used against Thanos? And why does the Quantum Realm look like the microscopic view of a dusty carpet?
The Wasp, in the comic world, is shown on the cover of the original Avengers #1 from 1963, making her the final character from the comic book to appear in a motion picture. Evangeline Lily reprises her role (obviously) as Hope van Dyne. At the end of the first Ant-Man movie there is a mid-credit scene in which Michael Douglas’ character, Hank Pym shows a brand new prototype suit to his daughter Hope van Dyne in which she responds with “It’s about damn time.” Of course this is not new knowledge, but it feels like Ant-Man and The Wasp may focus a bit more on The Wasp and her role in the Marvel Universe then on Ant-Man.
Social media has had positive reactions to Ant-Man and The Wasp, highlighting the action and comedy of the movie.
Ant-Man and The Wasp is strong on the humor, amazing on the visual effects, creative in size manipulation, and clever in its "villains." Great movie.
