Yes, you read that right, there are Marvel Superheroes On Olympic Slopes. The US Ski and Snowboard Team’s Olympic coming out party revealed their Captain Marvel and Captain America outfits to the world. The high-performance race suits might be hard to miss as hopefuls go for Gold in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
In the initial press release, Brady Collins, VP of Marketing, gushed
We’re thrilled to be working with Marvel in brining their Super Heroes to life with the U.S. Ski Team and beyond. Given Marvel’s inspirational impact around the world, we have an extraordinary opportunity to celebrate the U.S. Ski Team as well as our ambasadors in a broad-reaching way [sic]
Olympic gold medalist Julia Mancuso (retired) designed the suits which were first seen during the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Paul Gitter, Senior VP of Marvel Licensing added,
Pairing the world’s greatest atheletes of skiing with the Marvel Universe exemplfies the spirit, strength, power and perseverance that the U.S. Ski Team and our Super Heroes represent. We look forward to outfitting the U.S. Ski TEam with this high-quality gear so they can showcase their heroic style just like a Marvel Super Hero.
The internet agrees this is a stellar collaboration between Marvel/Disney and the team’s official apparel supplier, Spyder.
I really hope some Olympic team members choose to wear the race suits for official Olympic runs. The only thing better than having Marvel Superheroes on Olympic Slopes would be seeing a few standing on the podium. We’ll just have to stay tuned.
