That time has finally come around! Capcom has announced Monster Hunter: World is coming to PC, and they finally have a release date: August 9th. You’ll finally get to slap lizards and dragons in the face on glorious 4K monitors soon enough.

It’s apparently a much more accessible and a great entry for newcomers to the franchise. As it’s been out on PS4 for quite some time now, PC players who have been foaming at the mouth will finally be satiated. Thankfully, the awesome monster updates and new missions all come as free updates.

It is available for pre-order now, so hunt it over on Steam. Pre-purchasing nets you some goodies: Monster Hunter: World – Origin Armor Set and Monster Hunter: World – Fair Wind Charm, in addition to the base game.

Required PC specs are at the bottom of this article, and they don’t look too beefy. It appears to be accessible for most GPU’s, however the usual minimum (for most games) of a GTX 660 has been replaced with the GTX 760 now.

What about you geeks? Excited for Monster Hunter: World to come to PC? Are you the type to purchase twice? Sound off in the comments!
