Office warfare is no laughing matter and the guys over at Think Geek realize that. Thus they introduce the iLaunch Rocket Launcher For iPhone. You can now annihilate the office pest in cube to cube warfare in utter destruction!
Nerf guns are great, rubber bands guns genius but a mobile mission control system in the palm of your hand is diabolical. Have fear cube dwellers because this is going to be Daddy’s new weapon. You get 270 degrees of horizontal turning to pin point in your launch and 40 degrees of vertical movement. All controlled by the free iLaunch Controller App on your iOS device. Air pistons launch the rockets out at over 25 feet and there is a shake to fire if you need to be discreet. The base station has rechargeable batteries for ultimate portability allowing you to gain the upper hand. You can grab yours for $79 over at ThinkGeek.
Hit the break for a cool video!

Grinds My Geek: The end of BuckyBalls.
Last Updated on Wednesday, 14 November 2012 08:55 Written by LoganDX Wednesday, 14 November 2012 08:55
Going to keep this one short and sweet geeks, the old blood pressure can’t handle it! Due to some rather disturbing forceful bullying on the part of the Consumer Public Safety Commission, the wonderfully awesome BuckyBalls are going away. The agency decided that the adults only desk toy is too dangerous for children, even though the company doesn’t manufacture them nor market them towards kids. The CSPC approved warnings have been determined not good enough. Because giant warnings saying “Keep Away From Children” is clearly BB’s way of saying “Here kids, swallow these right now and freak your parents out and wrack up thousands of dollars of medical bills!”
Now we’re not talking just a product line here, we’re talking a whole company going away. BuckyBalls have been a desk distraction for us here at DHTG for pretty much ever and they’re a damn fine geeky company as well. The company has been fighting the assault for a few months now but it seems the only way for them to get away from the strong arming was to shut down. Which is a total shame. They’ve pulled together an impressive amount of sarcastic responses to show how little they care for the oppressive smothering by the over-reaching CPSC, which can be seen on their Tumblr here.
If you haven’t yet gotten yourselves a set, order now. BuckyBalls are no longer in production so once they’re sold out, that’s it. If you’re feeling saucy, tell the CPSC how you feel too. I know I did.

If you like music and are a geek you should give a listen to the band I Fight Dragons. The band incorporates chiptune with melodic rock music. Chiptune is new music created on obsolete video game sound cards such as Nintendo’s Gameboy. And how could you not love a band whose bio poses the question “What do you get when a Pulitzer Prize Winner, a Nobel Laureate, a Rhodes Scholar and a Robot get together and form a band?”
Their latest cd is called KABOOM! and recently they teamed up with Nintendo to release an exclusive 3D video for their song “Save World Get Girl”. The video is available on the Nintendo Video service app if you have a 3DS. The band hails from Chicago and released two EP’s before they released KABOOM!, their first full length cd.
Brian Mazzaferri, lead singer/songwriter for the band initially came up with the name I Fight Dragons by coming up with a T-shirt design of a guy holding a sword and shield that he felt represented everything art and music should be, “putting oneself on the line and fighting one’s own fears and demons (and dragons).” The T-shirt eventually turned into the impetus of the band he began forming. Lifelong fan of video games Brian was bound and determined to incorporate the classic 8 bit sounds with pop/rock which he describes as “Weezer meets Postal Service inside a Nintendo.” Read more: Smells Like Geek Spirit
