Ninja Turtles canceled? Maybe dreams do come true!

It seems Paramount might be doing the ole backward shuffle with the Michael Bay helmed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. They dropped the news that they have stopped pre-production on the film and are calling for an indefinite work stoppage on the flick. The studio pushed back the release date to sometime in 2014 giving some on the project hope for a 10 week only hold up.

Bay has been driving fans crazy with his “vision” for the movie: first he decided to go with the title Ninja Turtles, dropping the all important Teenage Mutant part and declaring the heroes in a half shell would be aliens instead of normal earth-born reptiles mutated by a mysterious glowing ooze. So he wants to rip apart the origin in favor of a rehashed and overused alien plot! Bay has gotten plenty shades of upset with fans, at one point telling them to “chill“, way to forget who pays for you to keep blowing crap up!

Maybe the “sodomizing” of the TMNT legacy won’t happen after all. Hopefully Paramount has decided Bay isn’t the proper fit for another big budget crashing of our childhood. I enjoyed the Transformers trilogy and all but enough is enough! Where’s my TMNT loving geeks at? Does this news warm your hearts? Are you preparing a pizza feast in celebration? Hit those comments and sound off!

Super Bowl Will Be Filled With Movies And Angry Birds

Other than the actual game and the halftime show, the Super Bowl is known for its commercials. There have been some really great commercials that premiered during the Bowl and this year should be nothing short of awesome. Not only will there be the Motorola Xoom commercial that parodies the 1984 Apple Macintosh II commercial, but there will also be numerous commercials for movies and a commercial for a little game called Angry Birds.

Paramount will have multiple commercials about movies that they will soon release. Among the titles are; Super 8, a movie by J.J. Abrams; Transformers: Dark of the Moon; Gore Verbinski‘s Rango; and two movies from the Marvel comics Thor and Camptain America The First Avenger. Disney is also bringing an ad for the nest Pirates movie, Pirates of the Carribbean: On Stranger Tides, to the Super Bowl. The most exciting news though is after the break. Click read more…
