New Smash Bros, Mario Party And More From Nintendo E3!

The final E3 press conference is here! And Nintendo is closing out the show. As always, here at Don’t Hate The Geek, we will be giving you the details in an easy-to-digest format, starting… now!

  • Nintendo started out with a trailer for Daemon X: Machina coming 2019 to Nintendo Switch… lots of mechs and somewhat cel-shaded action.
  • Then came a trailer showing action, story and epic fights for Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country.
  • Reggie from Nintendo had a prerecorded video, discussing Pokemon, including Pokeball Plus. He showed being able to take a Pokemon from a Switch with a Pokeball Plus and take it with you!
  • A new Mario Party was shown, called Super Mario Party, coming to Nintendo Switch. Release date shown is October 5th, 2018. Classic party games shown, nothing really new, but still exciting.

  • A new trailer for Fire Emblem was released, showing combat and its strategic layer of fighting. Some gameplay shown included exploration and story dialogue. Spring 2019 was shown for a release window.
  • Coming up after was a Fortnite trailer, available now on the Switch.
  • Overcooked! 2 showed a sequel, with a release date for August 7th, 2018.
  • Killer Queen Black showed gameplay for some fun 2D multiplayer, to be released later this year.
  • Hollow Knight had a trailer for it coming to the Switch as well! It, and its DLC, will be available, today!
  • Octopath Traveler is a Switch exclusive releasing July 13th, and a demo releasing this month.

  • After these releases, they had a montage showing various titles coming to the Switch, including the following:

  • After this awesome montage, Super Smash Bros. had a big reveal about a new Switch release. A fighter roster video was shown, with a bunch of classics coming back, including some interesting faces, like Inkling from Splatoon and Bayonetta. The title being Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Every hero from every Smash Bros will be included. A long segment detailed the changes from existing heroes and how they will be updated. For stages, there will be many returning and updated. A big reveal showed that the ol’ Gamecube controller will be compatible with Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

  • After showing these details, a new trailer showed a possible new hero that will be coming to Smash Bros Ultimate, and that hero will be Ridley. Release date for Smash Bros Ultimate is December 7th of this year.
